The Laurels opened in Hedge End, Hampshire in November 2007 to provide specialist care for up to 7 individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities between the ages of 18 and 65 years.
Our aim is to provide service users with a relaxed and comfortable environment where they are encouraged to become active and valued members of both their home and local community.
The Laurels has been specifically adapted to cater for service users with severe physical disabilities with wheelchair access throughout and a purpose built lift. All bedrooms are for single occupancy and all 7 bedrooms have en-suite wet room facilities. A communal bathroom is also provided for those service users that prefer to bathe.
The Laurels, in common with all Dolphin Homes’ LD/PD units, encourage service users to personalise the home to their own taste, especially their bedrooms, and all prospective service users are given the opportunity of a trial visit before making a decision.
